About North Aegean Islands
Samos - in the Eastern Aegean, very close to the coast of Asia Minor, in the heart of Ionia, almost midway along the sea route that links Greece with Anatolia, the Black Sea, Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Chios - crescent-shaped, with its inward-curving shore facing the Aegean. The lower slopes of the volcanic chain that cuts it in two are thickly cultivated with olives, fruit, vines and, above all, mastic trees - for which Chios is famous.

Ikaria - perfectly combining the most incredible rugged, mountainous, and breathtaking scenery with beautiful beaches, streams and ravines, forests, farmland, vineyards, and fruit trees.

Fournoi - the Fourni archipelago sits in a triangle shaped by Ikaria, Samos and Patmos. The islands' cliffs, overgrown with macchia, divide into fiord-like bays, providing picture postcard views.

Oinousses - an island formation located between the northeast end of Chios and the west of the Turkish Peninsula of Erithrea. The largest of the five islands is Egnoussa with an approximate area of 14 square kilometres. In antiquity the five islands were famous for their excellent grapes and wines (Greek word for wine: oinos) and it is believed that this is also the origin of the name "Oinousses."

Psara - exhibits a rocky terrain filled with hills and mountains which is inadequate for cultivation, so the 500 inhabitants of the island depend on maritime activities for income. The island offers peace and tranquility, rest and relaxation to their visitors. There are no cars or motorbikes to disturb the peace.

Lesbos - is blessed with award-winning beaches, traditional villages, more varieties of birds and wildflowers then anywhere in Europe, pine forests, medieval castles, scenic harbors and museums. It's natural attractions include a petrified forest and the unique hot springs - health inducing spas that are dotted around the island.

Agios Efstratios - a very quiet, isolated, arid, small island between the greater islands of Limnos and Lesbos

Limnos - the eighth largest island in the Aegean Sea lying between Lesvos and Samothraki. The island is some 475 square kilometers (150 square miles) in size, with mountains and fertile valleys and with a coastline of 260 kilometers (161.5 miles).
